Taxidermy forms

Skins that have been prepared for display and didactic purpose are often mounted over internal forms so as to preserve the shape and structure of the living creature. Although there are historical precedents, the art of preparing these specimens continues to evolve and can involve the use of fiberglass forms, wire structures, straw, excelsior, cotton wool stuffing, and many other materials.
